WINDSHIELD CALIBRATION SERVICE

WHAT IS CALIBRATION? 

Calibration is the process of returning a vehicle’s ADAS to OEM specifications. Calibration is necessary after the replacement of a windshield with a camera mounted to it, to ensure that the ADAS features (cameras and sensors) continue to function properly despite having been moved during installation.

Below is a list of some of the common Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) often related to your windshield:

• Forward collision warning
• Automatic emergency braking
• Adaptive cruise control
• Lane departure warning
• Lane keeping assist

WHY DO I NEED MY WINDSHIELD RECALIBRATED?

Safety is the primary reason why windshield recalibration is necessary.  A misaligned camera can potentially compromise the functionality of the system and lead to driving accidents. While we don't force you to have the calibration done, if you choose not to, you'll have to sign a liability waiver. It's a matter of safety!
